He leads product for an AI voice calling platform (IVR AI Bot) built on the OpenAI Realtime API,
including multi-provider text-to-speech integration (ElevenLabs, Cartesia), voice cloning, Hindi/English
call transcription, and OpenAI function calling to pull internal data (like account or billing info)
mid-call. He also leads an Enterprise Identity & Credentialing Platform using verifiable credentials
and agentic identity (SSI agents that can auto-issue credentials and even make independent payment
decisions), and led development of a Learning Management System (LMS) for internal training and
public course certifications.
Senior Software Engineer (Technical Leadership) — C3iHub, IIT Kanpur

From Mar 2024 to Aug 2025, Sumit was Senior Software Engineer (Technical Leadership) at the
Cybersecurity Research Center, IIT Kanpur (c3ihub.org). He built the product vision for a Digital ID
platform serving 40,000+ monthly active users for campus entry/exit, an academic credentials platform
that issued 25,000+ credentials across 5+ institutes, and a Digital Land Registry Portal for the
Kanpur Development Authority (KDA), working directly with government stakeholders including the
State Government of UP and the District Magistrate.

Before his product management roles, Sumit spent about 6 years as a hands-on software engineer:
National Blockchain Project at IIT Kanpur (2019-2021) working on Hyperledger Fabric and Quorum
blockchain networks; McKinley Rice Private Ltd (2018-2019) leading teams that built an e-learning
platform (1,500+ users, $20K+ revenue) and a blockchain-based asset traceability platform; Appinventive
Technologies (2018) building Ethereum smart contracts and DApps; and Tekfactory Consulting (2017) as
a Front End Developer working with React and Next.js.
